Corniglia is the main villages of the Cinque Terre and unlike other villages is the only overlooking the sea dall'alto. Il town center is connected to the train station from the typical staircase,
which offers a beautiful view, called '' Lardarina'' or from the road.

"Via Fieschi" is the path along which develops the village of Corniglia, from Church of "St. Peter" to the viewing terrace of "Santa Maria". Arriving by car or from the railway station the first square you meet is ''Piazza CiapĂ '' so called in the local dialect.

Walking along the ''Carugio'', narrow street typical Ligurian country,
you arrive in the main square of the country''Largo Taragio'', the center of which is positioned the War Memorial. The square is dominated from the
oratory of "Santa Caterina". Going up one of two staircases that     surround it, there is another square the "Fosso",which is recognizable by the tower, ruined remains of the Genoese fortifications dating back
to about 1556. From the tower you can enjoy a wonderful view
of the sea and on the Ligurian coast to Manarola.

Another breathtaking view of the entire coast of "Cinque Terre" from the terrace of "Santa Maria'' (located 100 meters from the sea level), accessible from "Largo Taragio" going along "Via Fieschi".
In the corner of the terrace that looks towards Vernazza stood a chapel,
fall into the sea in mid-nineteenth century.
On the same side you can see the small gulf that form ''La Marina'' of Corniglia. Staying on this side and looking toward the top of the mountains,
you can see the Sanctuary of Our
"Signora delle Grazie" of the small village of "San Bernardino".
